Highlights from 2025. A real mix of bespoke composition, personal releases, placements, installations, production music, guest lectures, panel talks, awards and sound design.

One frozen second captured by multimedia artists Christie Lau and Edmund Fraser. 'Memory' sees raw, unapologetic, frozen choreography from Ethan Jacobs and BEX3 with my immersive sound design and music provide by myself. Using Gaussian Splat technology, AI and traditional 3D methodology, a singular moment is twisted and blurred as if the viewer is waking from a dream.
The work was projected onto the walls of the exhibition space for a truly immersive experience.

With mind and body closely connected, there are techniques that everyone can learn to manage the physical and emotional health impacts of living in the modern world
(Film 3 of 4)
Staying calm in high stakes situations is something we all battle with every day. For Dr. Romain Pizzi, a wildlife veterinary surgeon, he spent so much time worrying about all the things that could go wrong as he performed critical surgery in difficult locations with some of the world’s most dangerous and traumatized animals. Visualization and calmly thinking through all the possible outcomes has helped him operate without limits.

A set of 4 dance works for television adapted to unconventional locations, in a site-specific work on the emblematic architectural heritage of the city of Lisbon
Danças na Cidade is a set of 4 short dance works for television that, as a tribute, takes its name from the emblematic contemporary dance festival in the city of Lisbon that took place in the 90s of the last century. Choreographers André Cabral, Clara Andermatt, Vasco Wellenkamp and Margarida Belo Costa transformed their choreographic universe by adapting it to non-emblematic locations, in a site-specific work on the emblematic architectural heritage of the city of Lisbon.
In a CPBC/RTP partnership, these 4 works punctuated RTP2's broadcast on World Dance Day, bringing together dance and heritage, in works unrepeatable in any other space.

New in FX Collection 6 Pro Tape J-37 captures the legendary Studer J37 tape machine in unprecedented detail, allowing you to add high-end tape collaboration to your mix in seconds, and process it with advanced controls.
In collaboration with Arturia I wrote a short piece using their amazing J37 Studer tape machine emulation to demonstrate its warmth and detail.
The brief was to start with no tape and bring it in after a few seconds to demonstrate the lush effect is has on the mix.

HUMAN KIND - Varvara Liakounakou
Kato Kosmos Studio - Athens
Human kind is a sculptural, audible and sensory installation.
Varvara Liakounakou is a figurative painter,
whos characters embrace and merge to one.
Most of her themes are around intimacy, connection and a momentary existence.
In Human Kind she will be showing, for the first time, sculptures expressing a more collective feeling, a collection of voices.
Made entirely from waste materials, Varvara, Artsct Initiative and Kato Kosmos Studio will collaborate on this exciting exploration of Kindness and it’s many, many forms.
We are individualy living in a world that is changing,
Climate, politics, extreme ideologies and society is reaching us all.
Fear, joy, pain, love.
How we ride the waves together is how we bring order to the chaos.
The sculptures are made out of recycled plastic. Humans are consuming their garbage, the toxicity and ‘becoming’ it. We are what we eat is a famous proverb for a reason.
Maybe the answer could be found in the kindness of human nature, in their kindness to each other.
Many thanks to our sound composer Andrew Beaton, Athens, ArtSect, Katos Kosmos Studio and everyone who has helped.

For those suffering from long-term chronic pain, could forming a relationship with that pain be the key to managing it? National Geographic photographer Yagazie Emezi was in a childhood car accident that left her facing pain and frustration with her body well into adulthood. Listening to her body’s needs and performing a body scan has allowed her to manage her pain better and be kinder to herself.
